Today Qodo announced it has raised a $40M Series A led by Susa Ventures. Vine Ventures seeded the team in Aug ‘22 (shortly before “GenAI” would become a ubiquitous term) and reinvested in this round.

SDLC is undergoing a radical transformation…

The trend of massive investment in AI-powered coding solutions is exciting, but should heighten your concern about code quality! As more code is AI-generated, ensuring its reliability becomes even more critical to prevent bugs that impact millions of users. Can you imagine a world where a software eng, technical product manager, or even an AI agent develops a feature with LLMs and pushes to production without being 99.99% confident it works?

Enter Qodo…

With over 1 million developers already using Qodo, the company’s tools integrate seamlessly into development workflows, enhancing test automation and code validation. Who stands to benefit most? Devs at the Enterprise. Enterprise sales crossed $1M in ARR within just three months of launching the teams offering earlier this year.

There is a key foundational difference between the engines behind Qodo and others in this space: Qodo’s AI coding platform generates and validates code correctness through an automated test-driven process. This elevates AI-based software development from a prompt:answer paradigm to a flow engineering paradigm, where code is constructed iteratively and customized to company-specific conventions and standards.

Autonomy Level 5…

At Vine, we believe code quality is a critical stepping stone to autonomous software development at the Enterprise; and Qodo is best positioned to unlock it. The company is hiring aggressively in this pursuit (US & Israel) and I am fired up to continue supporting Itamar, Dedy, & team in this next chapter!
